Fitness Fashion Explosion

I believe that if you look good, you feel good … and therefore perform better. I’ve even been known to save my favorite tennis outfit for important matches – it’s a great confidence booster! And with “athleisure” established as a fashion trend, there are more brands than ever to choose from, whether you’re actually working out or just want to look like you came to brunch from your Soul Cycle class. Here are some of my favorite brands and websites:

If I had unlimited funds to spend on outrageously cool leggings and tanks, this is where I would drop the $$.

Alternative is one of the many brands featured on Carbon38

Carbon38 is an amazingly comprehensive fitness and lifestyle marketplace, featuring the latest and most fashion-forward fitness brands. Alternative, Alo Yoga, Teeki, Vimmia and more … Carbon38 is like the cool girls’ table at the School of Fitness.

Beyond Yoga’s “Lightning Legging”

Beyond Yoga – despite the name – isn’t just for yoga. I wear their lovely, high quality leggings and tanks for yoga, gym, cycling, running and even sometimes tennis. I love that their materials are always soft and cut in the most flattering way. It’s not super trendy stuff, but it always looks current and fashionable.

When Fabletics launched about two years ago, I was pretty skeptical, as I am of any brand coming from a celebrity (in this case, it’s Kate Hudson). But I have to admit – I’m impressed with the understated yet fun leggings, tops and jackets.

And you can’t beat the amazing prices – you can get a bottom and top combo for less than $30!
